What you will need at the DPS Office After You Complete Online Course:
1. Present your online 6 hour completion certificate
2. DPS application DL-14a (click here to print out form)
Note: You must Check the “Learners License Box” on form DL-14a to receive a learner’s permit to take behind-the-wheel lessons.
You only check the “Driver’s License Box” on form DL-14a if you have your own car and desire to take road test immediately.
3. Green Card or Work, School, or Spouse Visa (birth certificate only – if U.S. Citizen)
Note: Work Visa Applicants MUST also provide verification of employment letter from employer on letter head.
4. Original Social Security Card (copies are not accepted)
